UiPath Coding Agents Workshop

Work in progress

This version of the workshop — the recruitment pipeline in two 90-minute blocks — is still being authored and hasn't had a full dry run. Expect content and timings to change.

Build UiPath agents and Maestro orchestrations with coding agents — from installing the tools to shipping a long-running automation.

What you'll build

This workshop takes you from zero to building real automation with coding agents. You start by setting up the uip CLI and UiPath skills, then build agents and orchestrations — letting a coding agent like Claude Code do the heavy lifting while you stay in control.

The course has two parts:

Part 1 · Coding Agents — get your environment ready, learn how building UiPath components changes with a coding agent, and build your first agents: a low-code hello-world, a coded agent with context and tools, and a conversational agent.

Part 2 · Agentic Orchestration — build Coded Apps, then orchestrate agents and apps into Maestro solutions: Case Management, BPMN, and Flow.

Agenda — How the hands-on session runs, in two 90-minute blocks. Finish Setup before the first block.

Hands-On Session — The recruitment pipeline you'll build: a Coded Agent, an RPA workflow, and a Maestro Flow, step by step.

More exercises are being authored and will appear here as they are released.

Key concepts

  • Coding agent — an AI assistant (e.g., Claude Code) that builds UiPath components from your instructions, using the uip CLI and UiPath skills. UiPath is the automation platform that coding agents operate natively.
  • uip CLI — the command-line interface coding agents use to talk to the UiPath platform.
  • UiPath skills — curated instruction packs that teach a coding agent how to build UiPath automations correctly.
  • Maestro — UiPath's orchestration platform for coordinating humans, robots, and AI agents across long-running processes.
